Barefoot & Foster is a folk duo born from a friendship that began in 2021, when Jake (Barefoot) McCoy and Jared Foster met at one of Jake's solo performances in Granville, Ohio. Bonding over a shared love of legendary songwriters such as Jim Croce, Bob Dylan, and John Denver, the two quickly discovered that their musical styles and abilities complemented one another. After performing together occasionally for several years, they made a deliberate commitment in 2025 to bring their collaboration to more stages, officially forming Barefoot & Foster.

Blending folk, bluegrass, rock, and country, Jake contributes guitar, banjo, piano, and vocals, while Jared adds guitar and vocals, with both musicians sharing foot percussion duties. Together, they create a rich, full-bodied sound marked by tight harmonies, thoughtful musicianship, and a style all their own. Whether performing original songs or reimagining timeless classics, Barefoot and Foster strives to keep audiences engaged and to share the joy of live music wherever they go.
